Me: Hey.
God: Hey, Jonathan.
Me: What’s on your mind today?
God: Other than all the joys and troubles of the world, not much.
Me: Haha!
God: You hesitated to type that. It’s ok to laugh at the funny part and feel the compassion you were feeling for me at the same time. I can handle the whole world, but emotionally it can get really hard. I know you know this. I’m saying it for the benefit of the ones who will read this. Every person has free will. Without it, love couldn’t exist. The choice to love or to hate, to help or to hurt is given to everyone. I have limited myself in how and to what extent I can intervene when people do evil so that love can exist, but justice and mercy also exist to balance out, to a certain extent, the horrible things that people do. I’m not going to get too deep into this, because as you know, communicating in this way isn’t one for one and word for word. We use your mind and the knowledge and vocabulary that you already have to communicate with you. Things can be misinterpreted or intercepted by the enemy and either kept from you or twisted to say things that I never intended. That’s why I get you to look over the conversations that you are going to post and edit them replacing the error with things that I actually wanted to say. Things will get through the cracks though unfortunately. We’ll deal with that when it comes.
Me: It can be annoying.
God: I know. There are really good reasons why we don’t just make everything easy for you. One of which is that the struggle helps you to grow. I’ll use the analogy of the butterfly. It’s hard for a butterfly to remove itself from its chrysalis, but the physical struggle is necessary. Without it, the butterfly will never do what I intended for it to do. If I took away the things that make you struggle, you would never become who I intend you to be.
Me: I’ve asked you to take away things that are hard before.
God: You have.
Me: Should I not ask for you to make things easier?
God: You can, and sometimes that’s what you need in the moment. I’ll give you relief from some things, but not from everything, not yet, not while you still have a lot of growing and strengthening to do. That wouldn’t be fair to you or the people that you’ll help because of it.
Me: We’ve talked about some of these things before, but I needed the reminder.
God: Again, this isn’t so much for you, but for the readers.
Me: Right. Sorry.
God: No need to be sorry. You didn’t do anything wrong.
Me: Thanks, God.
God: You’ve come a long way, Jonathan… Used to, you would have apologized for apologizing right then. Years of oppression and lies from the enemy caused you to have very little self-worth. We’ve coaxed it out of you though.
Me: Thank you for helping me to love myself.
God: You’re welcome, Jonathan. It’s very hard to love other people correctly when you don’t love yourself, and We need you to love others, for sure!
Me: I’m learning, because of You.
God: That’s right, my friend. It’s about time for you to go to bed. You’re going to work out tomorrow.
Me: Ok. I’ll talk to you tomorrow.
God: I love you, Jonathan.
Me: I love you, too, God.
Jesus: You don’t have to use the generic term. This is Jesus.
Me: I’m so glad I got to talk to you today. Thank you for telling me which One You are.
Jesus: :) You don’t always need to know, but oh Jonathan… I know things are hard right now, but they won’t be hard like this forever. Keep on fighting. Keep on struggling. It’s SO worth it, man. You can’t see how much you’ve grown, but We can. You’re so much stronger and kinder to yourself and so much more capable than you were when We first came to you. You’re a totally different person.
Me: People think I’m crazy.
Jesus: That’s the enemy talking, Jonathan… The stigmas and labels that others put on you shouldn’t matter as much as what I think of you, and I think you’re wonderful! You need to go to bed. I’ll talk to you tomorrow.
Me: I look forward to it!
Jesus: Me too. Goodnight.
Me: Goodnight, Jesus.

Hey, I'm Jonathan...
I started blogging in October 2026 about my conversations with God. They (the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit) have been talking with me since August 2024 when they began a season of isolation and poverty focused on growth and healing that I'm still in. There have been really hard times where They allowed the enemy to affect me in a big way, and I'm sure there will be more, but I've come to a place where I'm at peace with that. I believe God will restore to me all I've lost and then some. After all, Jesus is going to make us who love Him kings and I can only assume queens (Rev. 5:10), putting the past of suffering and lack behind us. Join me as I share conversations that I have with God meant specifically to help you.
